Michael Schumacher is the fastest in Jerez

Michael Scumacher recorded a good result on the test session in Jerez, Spain. Relying Mercedes Silver Arrows, Schumacher recorded the fastest time.

The seven-times world champion showed signs that he and his car worthy entry in the list of challengers to compete with top teams. On test day Friday, February 11, 2011, Schumacher raced with a record time of 1 minute 20,352 seconds. He ate a total of 112 laps.

"It's really a very useful day for us. I am pleased with this result. We can do a lot of focus to a very good round to determine the durability of our car," said Schumacher.

Ferrari's Felipe Massa who could be the fastest on the first day also achieve good results. He came in second place, only a tenth of a second adrift of Schumacher.

While Jenson Button with the McLaren MP4-26 is in third position. While Jaime Alguersuari with Toro Rosso its flagship located right behind Button. (CNN)
