Millions of World Population Marks Earth Day

This year, the commemoration of Earth Day calling on the world community to make a billion green action for the health of Earth's environment.

Millions of people around the world celebrate Earth Day this Friday with a pledge to make "green actions" to improve the environment. This is a warning to-41 Earth days, which is celebrated in America after the devastating oil spill in the Gulf Coast. Earth Day is now celebrated with various events in nearly 200 countries.

This year, Earth Day organizers called the world community to make a billion pledge green action to improve the health of Earth's environment.

Since entering Friday, the organizers counted more than 100 million people have pledged to improve the environment. The promise they range from individual plans to reduce use of toxic chemicals, using power-saving lamps at home, ride mass transit to work, to eat food produced local area.

In an official proclamation that day, President Barack Obama says Earth Day is an opportunity to renew America's commitment to environmental protection, and ensure that American leaders will continue to assume an important effort to address global environmental challenges.

U.S. first lady Michelle Obama plans to help improve the neighborhood park in Washington, but the plan was canceled because of rain which flushed the capital of America. Public official in America to plan other activities, such as in Baltimore, where the state of Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley inaugurate power charging station for electric cars at the airport.
