Space shuttle Endeavor Successfully Launched

Endeavor was launched Monday from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida with six astronauts - five Americans and one Italian citizen.

Endeavor, the U.S. spacecraft, is heading the International Space Station, in the second last flight in the U.S. space program that will expire this year.

Shuttle separated from the main tank and entered orbit a few minutes after the flight.

NASA says all systems are in good condition Endeavor. It is estimated that Endeavor will arrive at the International Space Station at 10:15 UTC or 16:15 pm on Wednesday.

The mission is led by American astronaut Mark Kelly, whose wife, Gabrielle Giffords House members seriously wounded in shootings in Arizona in January. The doctors allow Gifford to witness the launch.
